• Galena Foundation was looking for a warm, inviting office space, conducive to employee collaboration. The front desk, communal filing/copy/print amenities, and gathering area were placed at the core to both capitalize on natural light from the adjacent light well, and to promote communication and interaction. Private offices and meeting spaces line the perimeter, while a custom steel screen wraps the glass and wood walls of the central lobby. The design is an abstraction of topographic maps, and nods to the owner’s background in mining, engineering and geology.

A shared conference and break room area connects Galena to the adjacent office, allowing both companies to benefit from heightened amenities without allocating disproportionate space to a limited set of functions.
