• Layered between the heavy timber framework and custom murals from Oaxacan artist, La Pistola, lies a demanding program of private offices, co-working, conference space and amenities. As the third location for Shift Workspaces, Colorado’s first hospitality-drived shared workspace provider, the goal was to embrace the boutique hotel and members-only philosophies with an edgy, luxurious experience that carries you from your first step into the lobby, to your office door, and the shared spaces in between. We invested in the idea of discovery, letting the space unfold and reveal itself to the guest the more one uses it.

As the initial design brief morphed from fueling an industry to re-igniting it through the challenges that 2019-2020 presented, we stayed true to developing a concept that mixes opulence with play, and promotes a more-is-more aesthetic. Understanding the roots of the place (Littleton) was essential in our effort to create a meaningful connection that invites discovery and appreciation, displaying the tools of the trade as precious works of art and infusing industrial mechanics with lavish pattern play. Maximalism is alive and well.
